To use red grapes to make white wine is always a fascinating enterprise. We use Zweigelt grapes grown in our Blickenweg vineyard, because its soil and microclimate are just ideal for very aromatic wines. Almost transparent, this Zweigelt boasts wonderful notes of fresh field flowers in the nose and delicate Zweigelt flavours on the palate. The long finish is supported by subtle tannins and a somewhat sizzly sensation on the tongue.

Nestling in a southerly basin, Blickenweg vineyard enjoys best protection against the inclemencies of the weather. Mists in autumn ensure great fruitiness and in summer the grapes benefit from a special microclimate prevailing in this geological formation. Ideal conditions for vines!

Deeply red in colour with an abundance of fruit flavours and smooth richness. I left this wine to mature in a big barrel for three months and was blessed with exquisite cherry aromas and delicate coffee tones. Even at a tender age, this Zweigelt is already perfectly balanced and wonderfully accessible.

Point vineyard lies at the foot of Wechselberg hill. The gentle slope is oriented towards the southwest and lies embedded between Gaisberg hill and Wechselberg hill. Another hill - Manhartsberg - protects the vineyard against cold currents from the Waldviertel area. This vineyard boasts sandy loess which is ideal for very fragrant and fruity red wines.
